The Deutsche Bank Prize
The most famous dressage competition in the world
It is THE arena for dressage sport worldwide: The Deutsche Bank Stadium at the CHIO Aachen showgrounds. 6,700 spectators celebrate the international stars – those in the saddle, but especially their four-legged partners. Every year the Deutsche Bank Prize forms the spectacular conclusion to the CHIO week, in 2019 it was even slightly more memorable. On this extraordinary day, Isabell Werth narrowly beat Dorothee Schneider.
It was the third victory in a row for Isabell Werth – her 13th Deutsche Bank Prize triumph in total. What a success story.
And as if the victory didn’t make this day exceptional enough, it was also Isabell Werth’s birthday, her 50th to be precise. We spoke to several visitors about dressage in Aachen in general and in particular about Isabell’s 50th.
