Holiday camp at the CHIO Aachen showgrounds
Five days focusing on the theme horse
Learning a great deal about horses, sitting in the saddle oneself and getting to know the famous CHIO Aachen showgrounds – that’s what the “CHIO Aachen Kids Camp” from October 19th-23rd, offers. It is still possible to register.
Primary school children aged between six and ten will be able to gain experience with horses in the autumn school holidays at the place, where normally the best riders, vaulters and drivers in the world compete. The CHIO Aachen organisers are offering the “CHIO Aachen Kids Camp” for the first time ever.
Crafting and a paper chase are also on the agenda in addition to sport and activity games. And horses of course. They will be groomed and fed, the kids will also be able to watch the blacksmith at work. A vaulting workshop with the former World Champion, Patric Loser, is a particular highlight. Previous experience with horses is not absolutely essential, because the priority is on fun. “It is a leisure offer focusing on the horse,” explained Birgit Rosenberg, member of the board of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V.
The holiday camp is taking place from October 19th-23rd, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The participation fee is 250 Euros per child, including a meal each day. For further information and to register see www.chioaachen.de/kidscamp.
