First smart CHIO Hackathon: The CHIO Aachen CAMPUS is looking for creative heads
With an exceptional job advertisement – the job is limited to a period of three days – the team of the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS is looking for developers and creative minds, gamers, students, start-uppers and copywriters. The first CHIO Aachen Hackathon is being organised from October 28th-30th with the aid of the digitalHUB Aachen.
10,000 Euros in prize-money awaits the teams with the best ideas. For three days and two nights, the participants will in spontaneously formed teams jointly develop and put into practice new concepts at unusual locations on the grounds of the CHIO Aachen. Questions revolving around the “smart CHIO” will always be at the back of the mind: Which new features do the CHIO Aachen fans want? What are possible ideas for the customers of the sponsors of tomorrow? How can the fan commitment and loyalty to the CHIO Aachen be increased? How can 365 days of CHIO Aachen a year be realised? How can the equestrian sport be further digitalised? Which innovative technologies could help here?
As a top international event, which attracts over 350,000 visitors to the most famous equestrian sport facility in the world year after year, the CHIO Aachen is also shaped by the digitalisation. Projects like the “Judging App” have long since become reality. “Searching for answers to the changed expectations of the sports fans is thus of course not a completed process,” is how Stefan Knopp, Director of the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS, explained the motivation.
During the event, experienced start-up coaches from the digitalHUB Aachen will provide assistance as well as pitch training for the newly developed ideas, business models and prototypes. A renowned jury of experts will select the best concepts in a public prize-giving ceremony. Furthermore, the CHIO Aachen 2022 offers the opportunity of real-life application including intensive PR work and communications for the best ideas.
