World-class field of competitors at TSCHIO Aachen 2026: The top 25 in the rankings to all compete at the Allianz Park

With less than three weeks to go until TSCHIO Aachen 2026, the joyful anticipation is rising. From May 22nd to 24th, the event will be staged more compactly and earlier in the year, but with the same top-level competition and that unmistakable aura that has characterised Aachen for decades! A truly exceptional field of competitors will ensure that: The top 25 riders in the show jumping world rankings are all set to compete at the Allianz Park, united by one goal – securing the victory in the Rolex Grand Prix.

What makes the field of competitors so spectacular is not only its depth, but also the fact that the leading athletes in international equestrian sport will be contesting against each other: Scott Brash, the world number one and so far only winner of the Rolex Grand Slam, will face European Champion Richard Vogel, who is currently a contender for the Grand Slam title himself. The British show-jumper Ben Maher, Steve Guerdat from Switzerland and the two Frenchmen Simon Delestre and Julien Epaillard are bringing Olympic medals to Soers, while a top-class trio from the USA is also travelling to Aachen to take part: The World Cup Final winner Kent Farrington, Laura Kraut and McLain Ward. They will be joined by last year’s winner Martin Fuchs (SUI), the Olympic gold medallist, Christian Kukuk (GER), Daniel Deußer (GER) and the Belgian team European Champions, Gilles Thomas and Nicole Philippaerts – a group of riders rarely seen in such a cohesive line-up. “This concentration of top riders is truly exceptional,” commented ALRV Board Member and Head of Sports, Birgit Rosenberg. “The best riders in the world, united for three days – this promises spectacular rides, goosebump moments and a joyful anticipation that is already tangible in every corner of the Allianz Park.”

Experience the best of the best on Friday already

To win in Aachen, to have your name immortalised on the famous winners’ board on the perimeter of the stadium – that is one of the biggest dreams any equestrian could possibly have. At the TSCHIO 2026, the path to that dream leads through one of the most prestigious classes in the world: the Rolex Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. But the groundwork is laid much earlier. The action is already first-class on Friday and Saturday, with the show jumping competitions serving as qualifiers for the grand finale. This means that the spectators will witness the entire world elite on the first two days of the show. Every ride counts, every mistake can shatter the dream of the Rolex Grand Prix.

Elite four-in-hand drivers in the MERKUR CASINO-Cup

However, it is not just the best show-jumpers in the world, who will be competing at the TSCHIO Aachen; the crème de la crème of four-in-hand driving will also be there in May – competing in the MERKUR CASINO-Cup, which will this year be a combination between show jumping and driving competitions on the Saturday afternoon. This unique “Jump & Drive” event promises a fantastic atmosphere. The equestrians taking part include Dries Degrieck (Belgium), Anna Sandmann (Germany), Bram Chardon (Netherlands), and the four-in-hand champion driver, Boyd Exell (Australia).

One thing is thus certain: Even in its compact format, the TSCHIO Aachen promises world-class sport from the first day to the very last. Anyone, who wants to experience the top stars of the equestrian scene first-hand and be there when another piece of sporting history is written in Aachen: Tickets for the TSCHIO are available online from the ticket shop, via the hotline on +49 (0)241-9171-111 and from the offices at the showgrounds.
