Welcome on the new website of the CHIO Aachen
Modern, emotional and brand new, that makes clicking even more fun: The organisers of the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen, have completely revamped their web presence.
“The relaunch focuses on two things,” explained Frank Kemperman, Chairman of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV): “The website was to have an impressive visual appearance and be user-friendly.” To this end, a totally new design was developed. Bigger photos convey the CHIO Aachen experience even more efficiently, videos and animations provide an authentic insight behind the scenes. Regarding the handling, the website has been adapted to suit the changed user behaviour. Here, the developers have relied on a modular design of the homepage, which enables a relaxed scrolling from the top to the bottom – which one is familiar with from the smartphone. In addition, the navigation has been optimised and new functions, such as a search function, have been integrated. The function and design have thus been harmoniously combined. In terms of the technical development, importance was placed on full interactivity, so that it works on all end devices – whether a PC, smartphone or tablet. The Aachen-based agency “Interactive Pioneers” is responsible for the design and programming of the online portal of the major sporting event.
In any case, Frank Kemperman is very pleased with the new design: “The website is clearly arranged, easy to understand and it also looks great too.”
