The CHIO Aachen team is mourning Ron Southern.
The founder of the world-famous equestrian sports complex “Spruce Meadows” in Calgary, Canada passed away yesterday at the age of 85. “His courage and foresight enabled Ron Southern to attain great achievements,” commented Carl Meulenbergh, President of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V.
Spruce Meadows, the CHIO Aachen and the CHI Geneva jointly initiated the “Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping”.
