Happy faces at Soers Sunday
Admittedly, one had to surmise the smiles behind the masks, but indeed all the people at the Aachen Soers on Sunday were overjoyed. CHIO again at last, Soers Sunday again at last. Following tradition, the organisers invited the visitors to their open day at the showgrounds on the first weekend of the event. A church service, show programme and the “CHIO Aachen Village” lured the guests and they were indeed plentiful in number. “A fantastic start”, was the comment of the totally satisfied Show Director, Frank Kemperman. The tent city is much more spaciously built than in the previous years to avoid crowded aisles. “Our visitors feel very comfortable, the concept works very well,” stated Kemperman. The concept also foresees considerably fewer visitors, from Friday to Sunday, 18,500 people attended the vaulting, the church service and the two “Horse & Symphony” concerts as well as Soers Sunday. A successful prelude to the CHIO Aachen 2021, which officially opens on Tuesday evening with the Opening Ceremony in the Main Stadium. Tickets are still available for the event.
