CHIO Aachen Media Night with David Garrett, the Müllers and Franziska van Almsick
It is the most famous red carpet on the equestrian sport scene that the guests of the CHIO Aachen Media Night traditionally walk over on the Tuesday evening. Together with the organisers of the CHIO Aachen, the co-host, Hermann Bühlbecker, the sole proprietor of the “Aachener Printen & Schokoladenfabrik Henry Lambertz” invited guests to the traditional gala evening.
The star violinist, David Garrett, was one of the last to arrive. Laid-back, he strolled towards the “Champions´ Circle” and chatted with the journalists before being warmly greeted by Hermann Bühlbecker and Stefanie Peters, the President of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein. The dressage rider, Lisa Müller, who is competing at the CHIO Aachen 2022 for the first time this year, brought her husband Thomas, the professional footballer, with her and the ex-swimmer, Franziska van Almsick, was delighted to be back in Aachen: “It is been far too long since I was here last!” And the bestseller author, Ildikó von Kürthy, even arrived a day earlier so that she could take a leisurely stroll around the grounds – she also took great pleasure in walking along the red carpet on Tuesday evening. In-between partying, the guests also made their way to the Main Stadium, where 37,500 spectators let themselves be enchanted by the wonderful Opening Ceremony. Afterwards, the gala guests returned to the “Champions’ Circle” where they celebrated until the early hours.
