CHIO Aachen 2025: Böckmann, Vogel & Brauchle unbeatable in the MERKUR CASINO-Cup
The team really were a perfect match! If one had been able to place bets on who was going to win the MERKUR CASINO-Cup 2025, a lot of people would have probably betted on “Team Yellow” comprising of Calvin Böckmann, Richard Vogel and Michael Brauchle.
The jumping, eventing and driving competition, the MERKUR CASINO-Cup on Saturday evening enjoys growing popularity! Six teams, each comprising of a show-jumping pair, an eventing pair as well as four-in-hand team, had registered to take part in the race against the clock. In all three equestrian sports there are names that simply stand for speed. For example, Calvin Böckmann, Richard Vogel and Michael Brauchle. If you then combine these three names, there is a good chance that it results in something extremely fast. That was precisely the case this evening.
The trio and their six horses Kasparow FRH (Böckmann), Phenyo van het Keysersbos (Vogel) as well as Brauchle’s team Icoonic, Joey, Samy and Top Queen won the competition hands down. Amid the thunderous applause of the sold-out stadium at the Soers, they paced over the Holy Grass, through the water, over colourful poles and solid obstacles at a speedy pace to reach the finish line in just 119.87 seconds.
The other teams didn’t have a cat in hell’s chance. Second place went to Team Green, comprising of Andrew Hoy with Gulliver des Lones and Boyd Exell with his team representing Australia, together with the Dutch show-jumper, Hessel Hoekstra with Madonna. The clock stopped for Team Green at 127.90 seconds.
The Blue Team finished third in a time of 132.27 seconds with Gemma Stevens, who came third in the UBS-Cup earlier today (GBR) and Cooley Park Muze, Pedro Veniss from Brazil with Ricante van het Keysersbos, as the show jumping specialist, and Koos de Ronde from the Netherland and his four-in-hand team.
