Cheque presented to the MENSCHENSKIND® e.V. Foundation
The “Horse & Symphony” concert is not merely one of the highlights in the supporting programme of the CHIO Aachen, it also supports a charity every year. Namely part of the proceeds are donated. In this way, a sum of 12,000 Euros came together in 2018, which went in aid of the MENSCHENSKIND® e. V. Foundation.
On Saturday evening, Carl Meulenbergh, President of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V., presented the donation cheque during the concert to Ursula Reisgen, Treasurer of the MENSCHENSKIND® e. V., and Hilde Hanf, Committee Member of the MENSCHENSKIND® e. V. They revealed that the donation will be used for around 50 children, who are to receive support in the form of “Therapeutic Riding” in 2018 at the therapy centres in the region that are recognised by the German Curatorship for Therapeutic Riding. The association has been promoting therapeutic riding for ill and critically ill children since 2007. On average, the duration of the therapy lasts from 2 to 3 years. “It is nice to see that these donations are implemented exactly where they are needed: For children and youths from the region, who are desperately in need of support,” commented Carl Meulenbergh.
