45 Mercedes-Benz for the CHIO Aachen
Mercedes-Benz has been a partner of the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen since 1954. Back then, 65 years ago, Hans Günter Winkler won the Grand Prix of Aachen for the first time. In that day and age in the 1950s, a Mercedes-Benz 170 SA Cabriolet was the snazziest and ultra-modern car one could possibly drive. Today, the EQC sets the benchmark. Among others, six of the modern electric-powered vehicles will once again guarantee the shuttle service at the CHIO Aachen 2019 (July 12th-21st, 2019), which is first and foremost implemented for the athletes. 45 vehicles are necessary for a perfect, smoothly running service. Following tradition, the Director of the Mercedes-Benz Rhineland Sales Division for Cars, Matthias Hindemith, now handed over the vehicles to Carl Meulenbergh, President of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V., organisers of the CHIO Aachen. In addition to the EQCs, among others vehicles of the S, G, E and C classes will be used for the shuttle service.
