Live training with Ingrid Klimke
From the warm-up phase through to the cross-country obstacle: On December 7, the team Olympic gold medallist, Ingrid Klimke, will demonstrate at the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS, how she trains riders and her horses. Fantastic opportunity: All ticket holders can apply to take part with their horse!
She is one of the most successful riders in the world. And one of the most versatile! Ingrid Klimke has not only picked up many medals for eventing at the Olympic Games, as well as at World and European Championships, the master of riding is also extremely successful on the dressage circuit too. Since winning a bronze medal at the World Championships in Herning this year, she is also decorated with precious metal at international level in this discipline as well.
Ingrid Klimke is not only well-known for her major victories, but also for her gentle riding style. For her it is important that the horse is handled in a partner-like manner and with respect and that she practices her sport with a huge portion of passion and enthusiasm. Her world-famous motto is: “Ride to your joy!” She will demonstrate how she succeeds in doing so on December 7th, starting at 6.30 p.m. at the grounds of the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS. What’s more – as one is familiar with from Ingrid Klimke – in a very versatile way: In the course of the three and a half hour live programme, she will train riders together with different horse and rider combinations in the warm-up phase, in dressage, jumping and over cross-country obstacles in the festively decorated Albert-Vahle Arena. The spectators will not only receive valuable tips for the daily work with their horses, but will also be given helpful assistance with possible problems they may have – from one of the best riders in the world. Of course, the team Olympic gold medallist will also give insights into her everyday training routine at home during the live training and will answer questions from the audience. The break offers the opportunity to collect autographs and take selfies and treat oneself to culinary delights in the Christmas Village.
However, the best thing is: Everyone, who buys a ticket, not only has the opportunity to experience the training with Ingrid Klimke live, they may even be able to take part themselves! Because all ticket holders can apply to participate in one of the four training sessions. The prerequisite for this is that the following minimum requirements are fulfilled:
Warm up phase : A/L level (beginner/novice level)
Dressage: L/M level (intermediate/medium level)
Jumping: A-M level (beginner-medium level)
Cross-country: A-M level (beginner-medium level)
The application deadline is November 13. Further information will be provided in the confirmation e-mail after the ticket has been purchased. The training is conducted in German. Tickets are available for 30.80 euros (pupils, students 24.80 euros).
