It is going to be fast and furious. When the best eventers in the world climb into the saddle at the CHIO Aachen on Saturday evening (July 16th, 9.30 p.m.) to master the course of a new spectacular competition together with four-in-hand drivers and show-jumpers, a fantastic atmosphere is guaranteed. 40,000 spectators will be totally excited during the “Lavazza Prize”.

Also for the second match of the German team (against Poland on Thursday evening), the CHIO Aachen Pony-Prognosis forecasted a clear victory for Germany. On a 20 metres long parcours at the CHIO Aachen showgrounds, the Shetlandponys "Pepi" and "Coca" fought out the winner. Their little race was filmed in cooperation with the "Aachener Zeitungsverlag". And the next Pony-Prognosis will be published soon.

Hans Günter Winkler is a legend, on a par with Max Schmeling and Fritz Walter. The show-jumper is celebrating his 90th birthday on July 24th. That is reason enough to organise a show in his honour at the CHIO Aachen 2016, the “Hans Günter Winkler Gala presented by NetAachen”. And the official telecommunications service provider of the CHIO Aachen is not only presenting this exceptional event, they are also inviting 20 families to it.

The dressage committee of the German Olympic Equestrian Committee (DOKR) have nominated three experienced ladies and a young lad for the Lambertz Nations’ Cup at the CHIO Aachen 2016 (July 8th-17th). Isabell Werth riding Weihegold OLD, Dorothee Schneider and Showtime, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe with Desperados FRH and the just 21-year-old Sönke Rothenberger with Cosmo will all be riding into the Deutsche Bank Stadium for Germany.

National coach Monica Theodorescu thinks: Germany is favourite in the Lambertz Nations' Cup. We talked to her about her expectations for the Aachen team, her sympathy for those, who didn’t make it onto the team and of course also about the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
