For the first time this year, the CHIO Aachen is going to be the venue location for the FEI Youth Equestrian Games. Some of the horses that have been made available to the aspiring young riders from all over the globe for these competitions, will be auctioned off on July 2nd, straight after the individual finals of this Olympic competition.

Being able to ride on the holy grass at the Aachen Soers, alongside the world elite from their sport: This dream will come true for the participants of the FEI Youth Equestrian Games, which is being staged for the first time during the CHIO Aachen 2022. Four-legged partners are being made available to the aspiring young riders aged between 14 and 18, who will be travelling to Aachen from all continents in the world, for these competitions. The horses all boast exceptional pedigrees and first-class, international placings. Together with his team, an FEI Commission and the organisers of the CHIO Aachen, the successful Nations Cup rider and state trainer, Holger Hetzel, has selected 39 top horses for this magnificent challenge. “In this way, with great motivation, extremely strict selection criteria and an unwavering instinct for quality, exquisite jumping horses have been chosen, which the owners have kindly placed at our disposal for this very special event,” commented Volker Raulf from the auction house, MennrathS, which together with the CHIO Aachen is jointly responsible for the auction that is taking place after the competition.

 

Because some of these horses are to be auctioned off at the grounds of the CHIO Aachen on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022. This auction, which will be broadcast live thanks to a cooperation with ClipMyHorse.TV-AUCTIONS, is taking place as a hybrid event. This means, interested parties can bid live on-site or online in real-time via the Internet. “The three competitions of the FEI Youth Equestrian Games offer the unique opportunity to examine the horses under the saddle of the young talents under CHIO Aachen conditions,” Volker Raulf stated. “The collection offers the perfect combination between highly-interesting, already well-placed youngsters and experienced horses with top international results at up to 1.55 metre level.” Health reports, X-rays and videos are available for every horse.
