CHIO Aachen: Anke Fleig wins the “Silver Camera”
The photo “Sunset” convinces the jury

Yesterday evening the media prize, “The Silver Camera“, was awarded during the jumping competitions. The photographer Anke Fleig stood out among the 73 entries from six countries in total and won the famous media prize “The Silver Camera” at this year’s CHIO Aachen. Her photo “Sunset” was selected by the jury, comprising of four experts, as the best equestrian photo 2009/2010. Unfortunately, Anja Fleig was not able to accept the coveted prize personally. However, her fellow photographer Thomas Zimmermann was presented with the prize on her behalf, by Hubert Herpers, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Sparkasse Aachen.

Second place went to Nicole Bökhaus from Winterthur/Switzerland with the photograph ”SplishSplash“, the Norwegian photographer Roger Svalsrød came third. The media prize is endowed with 4,000 Euros, the winner receives 2,500 Euros, the runner-up 1,000 Euros and the second runner-up 500 Euros. The Silver Camera is awarded jointly every year by the organisers of the CHIO, the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein, the Sparkasse Aachen and the Rheinische Sparkassen- & Giroverband.
