Team Wesel wins the Prize of Handwerk
Quadrille competition is a crowd-puller
The spectators love the quadrille to music, because the participating teams always come up with new, striking choreographies and pieces of music. The teams from Wesel and Aachen have been the most successful teams over the last few years and they dominated the Prize of Handwerk again this year. Team Wesel won with a score of 17.8 (A mark 8.4/B mark 9.4) ahead of the team from Aachen with 17.5 (8.5/9.0) and the team from Mettmann with 17.2 (8.4/8.8).
The team from Wesel comprised of Mareike Mondrowski with Baumann’s Leonardo, Julia Miß with Loresco, Martina Binnenbrücker with Prosecco and Maria Theussen with Wendolin. Helmi Abeck was the team leader. “The horses were a good match, the choreography was difficult with new movements and in spite of a few small technical errors it was a superb freestyle,” the renowned judge, Katharina Wüst, commented.
The team from Aachen included Sabine Winkens-Bähr with Don Miguel, Bianca Lüttgens with Fabrizio, Manuela Hein with Real Pleasure and Paulina Krafft with Desperado. Susanne Rueben was the team leader. “Precisely ridden, horses with great impulsion, peppy music,” praised Wüst.
