Air Berlin steps on board as the new partner of the World Equestrian Festival – “Air Berlin Fan Award” for the most popular athletes

International company meets international event: Air Berlin is one of the new partners of the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen. The airline will present the really popular Public’s Prize, the “Air Berlin Fan Award“. The company will in addition be promoting itself in different ways around the showgrounds.

In this respect we make great partners,” commented Joachim Hunold, CEO Air Berlin. “Together with Air Berlin we have developed an individual and partnership-based concept,“ said Michael Mronz, General Manager of the Aachener Reitturnier GmbH.

In the course of the ten CHIO days around 350,000 spectators from all over the globe will once again visit the traditional showgrounds at the Soers in Aachen. Worldwide 340 hours will be broadcast from the CHIO to 198 countries. The World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2010, begins on July 9th and finishes on July 18th with the traditional Farewell of the Nations, when the 40,000 spectators bid farewell to the athletes while waving white handkerchiefs. In the afternoon of the same day, the athletes will be distinguished with the “Air Berlin Fan Award“.
