CHIO Aachen: Shop-window competition as a calling card
Entry deadline on May 17th – numerous businesses are participating – attractive prizes up for grabs

When the public stroll through the shops of the region in the weeks leading up to the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2010 (July 9th-18th), they will be able to admire the beautifully decorated stores. Since numerous companies have already confirmed their participation in the 19th shop-window competition and will be dressing their shops up in the style of this year’s CHIO Aachen partner, North Rhine-Westphalia.

The shop-window competition is jointly organised by the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV), the Aachen newspaper publishers, the City Market and Campaign Committee e.V. (MAC) and the City of Aachen and runs from June 14th to July 18th, 2010. “The competition is a calling card for the CHIO in the city region,” commented the Show Director, Frank Kemperman. In his opinion the considerable and top-class participation every year demonstrates just “how deeply rooted our CHIO is in the region.” The customers, who can submit their votes per SMS, coupon or telephone, ultimately decide which business has scored top marks in terms of creativity, entertainment value, relevance to the CHIO theme and technical performance. Attractive prizes will be raffled off among the voters.

And the business people, who decorate their shop-windows, are winners too: All participants receive two main stadium seated tickets for Saturday evening, July 17th. Anyone who is still interested in entering the competition, will however have to hurry. The entry deadline ends next Monday, on May 17th.
