CHIO Aachen 2010: Vaulting Show with the best
athletes in the world, Joanne Eccles and Kai Vorberg
"Pas des deux" as a further novelty at the World
Equestrian Festival - the vaulting competitions begin on July
9th
The vaulting fans can look forward to two further
premieres at the World
Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2010. A "Vaulting
Show" is going to be staged in the Deutsche Bank Stadium
on Wednesday evening (July 14th), prior to that on Friday
and Saturday the best vaulters in the world will be performing
a "pas de deux".
The "pas de deux" - "pair vaulting"
- means that two athletes compete together as a team, this
competition is completely new at the CHIO Aachen. "This
is a fantastic and very interesting competition even for non-professional
spectators," the national coach, Ulla Ramge, commented
regarding the new format. Participants from 14 nations will
be competing in the freestyle.
The spectators will experience a spectacular "Vaulting
Show" on Wednesday evening, July 14th, in the Deutsche
Bank Stadium. Experts will explain vaulting and both the two-time
World Champion and reigning European Champion, Kai Vorberg,
and the European Champion and winner of the CHIO Aachen 2009,
Joanne Eccles from Great Britain will be performing in the
Show. Furthermore, the programme also includes a team freestyle
and pas de deux.

"This Vaulting Show will enable us to integrate this
attractive sport into the CHIO Aachen even more," said
Frank Kemperman, Chairman of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein
e.V., the organisers of the CHIO. The vaulting competitions
will be staged from July 9th-11th in the Albert-Vahle Arena.
