CHIO Aachen: The programme for 2010 has been
completed
All changes under www.chioaachen.de - entertaining innovations
The visitors of the World Equestrian Festival,
CHIO Aachen 2010 can on the one hand look forward a traditional,
well-tried programme, but also to entertaining innovations.
On ten days, the world's best equestrian athletes will compete
on the traditional show grounds in Aachen's Soers. From now
on, the updated programme is available on the internet under
www.chioaachen.de.
The jumping and eventing competitions will be
carried out in a similar mode as in the past years, they have
been tried and tested and are popular among the spectators.
There will be an important change in the programme for the
four-in-hand drivers though: The spectacular Wohnwelt Pallen
Marathon will now be the final of the individual classification,
Prize of Family Richard Talbot. Also the drivers' Nations'
Cup will be decided in the Marathon, in which the four-in-hand
drivers will start in reverse order of their results from
the dressage and obstacle driving competitions (Thursday and
Friday). Thus, maximum suspense is created, with a format
that is already well-established in eventing competitions.
Two entertaining novelties will await the vaulting fans. On
the one hand, there will be a new "Pas de Deux"
in the programme. On the other hand, there will be a "Champions'
Show" on Wednesday (July 14th) under floodlight in the
Deutsche Bank Stadium with the winners of the vaulting competitions.
"With this, we will be able to integrate this attractive
sport even more into the CHIO Aachen's programme", says
Frank Kemperman, Chairman of the Managing Board of the CHIO-organiser
Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V.. The vaulting competitions
will be held from July 9th to 11th in the Albert-Vahle-Arena.
With regards to dressage, visitors can look forward to a new
evening programme on Wednesday. The HAVENS Horsefeed Prize,
the CDI tour's Grand Prix, will then be decided under floodlight,
and the vaulting "Champions' Show" will be integrated
into the evening programme. Furthermore, the dressage team
competition will from now on be decided in the Grand Prix
Spécial on Saturday. The riders start in reverse order
of their results from the Grand Prix (Thursday).
Tickets for the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO
Aachen 2010, are still available for all event days and almost
all categories.
