Big demand for tickets three weeks before CHIO starts
Extended opening hours for ALRV ticketing - Discounts for the socially deprived

The CHIO flags are waving again at the Soers, the assembly work at the show grounds has long since begun: In just over three weeks time, the international equestrian elite will once again be the guests of the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2006 (May 17th-21st). The excitement is growing - a fact made very evident by the ticket sales. Indeed there are still tickets for all days at the moment, but whoever wants to be there, will have to hurry. Due to the great demand, the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV) has not only stocked up the personnel in its Call Center, but has also extended the opening hours of the ticketing office. Tickets can be ordered by telephone or purchased from the ALRV offices - Albert-Servais-Allee 50, 52070 Aachen - Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
And of course everyone should be given the opportunity to attend. Even those equestrian fans who are restricted financially. This is why the ALRV is offering all of the underprivileged, who can present their so-called "Aachen-Pass" of the City, special priced tickets for the show-jumping stadium. Tickets in the roofed seating area of the AachenMünchener Grandstand cost three Euros for Wednesday, May 17th and Thursday, May 18th, and the price is two Euros for non-covered seats. The tickets are available until May 10th from the ALRV. "The CHIO is designed to be a folk festival for all equestrian fans," explains ALRV General Manager, Frank Kemperman. "That's why such discounts are a matter of course for us." The reduced tickets are additionally available from the working groups of the welfare organisations of the District of Aachen. For instance from the worker's welfare organisation, the Caritas, from the Diakonisches Werk (deaconal mission), from the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross) and from the Deutscher Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband (German Parity Welfare Organisation) in the respective parishes.
