Who can claim to have taken an active part at a World Championships? The World Equestrian Games 2006 in seven equestrian disciplines Aachen (August 20th - September 3rd) isn't only going to attract around 800 sportsmen and women with their horses and 500,000 spectators to the show grounds of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein (ALRV), it will also offer voluntary workers from Aachen and the surrounding area a variety of jobs. The ALRV is currently still looking for friendly, communicative and helpful people for the chauffeur and shuttle service, which will contribute to the success of the second largest sports event in Germany this decade. The application form can be downloaded from the website at www.aachen2006.de under the menu item "Jobs".

The applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a Class B driving license and be available from Friday, August 18th until September 4th, 2006. A good knowledge of the local area and a good command of the English language are a must for the application, being able to speak French, Dutch or Spanish would be a further advantage. The employees receive a pass for the show with admission to the standing room, a small expense allowance, meals and of course a certificate confirming their activities at the WEG: A highlight in every career. And what could be nicer than not only being able to tell your children and grand-children about the exciting WEG atmosphere, but also being able to maintain: Our participation made it all possible.
